Known as the sports scooter around the world, Aprilia SR 150 will be launched soon
D-lifestyles Pvt Ltd, authorised distributor of Aprilia will be bringing in the most well reviewed crossover scooter — Aprilia SR 150. According to Salil Shrestha, Marketing Executive at D-lifestyle Pvt Ltd, the scooter will be launched by the end of December this year.
The sporty appearance of Aprilia SR 150 is what will mostly grab the attention of buyers. Its hard-line facade is reflected from its twin headlights which are placed on the front apron with the red and black graphics. The seats are short slightly high tail and red-black in colour. Furthermore it has 32mm telescopic forks upfront along with large 14-inch wheels at both ends.
“The Aprilia SR 150 will be the very first of its kind, cross over scooter in the market. With various track records and championships under its belt, we are very proud to be associated with the world renowned brand,” said Shrestha.
To power the sporty Aprilia SR 150 is the 154.8cc, air-cooled single cylinder engine, the one which is there on the Vespa 150. This engine can generate 10.4 Bhp of maximum power at 6750 rpm against a maximum torque of 11.4 Nm at 5000 rpm. The SR 150 is one of the only scooters that will be able to go beyond 100 kmph on the speedometer. Along with that there is also a provision for USB connection which lets you charge your phone and it promises not to disappoint the rider when it comes to taking quick turns with its 14 inch wheels and grippy tyres. The scooter has been designed with steel frame for better safety measures. It also has a 220 mm front disc brake and 140 mm rear drum brake. The suspension duties at the front are performed by 32 mm telescopic forks and at the rear by hydraulic shock absorber suspension. Shrestha shares that the Aprilia SR 150 will be bringing something unique in the market for gearless two wheeler products. “People might be amazed by the power, style and comfort that they can get from a scooter. It will definitely break the stereotype.”
According to Shrestha, the scooter a offers comfortable ride whether it is on the highway, city roads, and even off-road. He said, “We are optimistic about the market performance of Aprilia SR 150 as it has a huge fan following in Nepal, just like all over the world. We have also been receiving a good number of inquiries about the scooter.” The scooter comes with a price tag starting from Rs 225,000 to 235,000. It will be available at the D-lifestyles showroom in Lazimpat.
